The nightclub next door was so loud on Fridays and Saturdays that it felt like it was inside the building, and we couldn’t sleep until 4am. The hotel was more expensive than most high-end places in Santiago, which made the whole stay feel like a scam. I hated every day there. They moved us through three different rooms because things kept breaking. The toilet and AC didn’t work, and when they told me about the AC, they laughed. The shower floor was cracked, the wardrobe and windows were dirty, and room cleaning didn’t include replacing the toilet paper when it ran out. The hair dryers were a joke, and one had a broken piece inside that seemed like a serious fire hazard. The bathroom door was just a sliding panel, about as useful as a curtain. They tried to look international, but nobody spoke English. A few days into the stay I asked to speak with whoever was in charge so I could cancel the rest and move elsewhere. They played dumb and never got back to me.

The rooms were clean, but for two people we only had one glass and one towel, so we had to go back and ask for more. It was also hard to get understood at reception and in the restaurant. Nobody spoke English, though the younger staff were very helpful and used Google Translate. Calling reception didn’t work either because they couldn’t understand us.

The room was very spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. There was no AC, just a space heater lol. The bathroom was a little tiny, but fine. The check-in desk staff were friendly.

The nightclub downstairs kept me up all night on Friday and Saturday. The room felt like a jail cell, and there was no air conditioning.
