I booked through Expedia, but nobody was there to check me in. The door was locked and all the lights were off. What a waste of time. This place is a scam, stay away!

The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the fresh bread. The host was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean and tidy. The building is beautiful, with a big backyard and a terrace where you can sit in the sun with a coffee. Parking is available too. It could use a sign or some directions to make it easier to find. Calling the host a few minutes before you arrive works fine, though. Everything else was perfect.

Mauricio was always happy to share recommendations and tell us a bit about the history of the town. The house is wonderful, with a garden, pool, and parking, and it's just a few blocks from the Plaza de San José de Maipo, near restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Our double room was bright, comfortable, spotless, and had a spacious private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and served right on time. It felt like an oasis of peace, with the mountain walls around San José de Maipo and the sounds of thrushes, doves, crickets, and the wind. We wanted to stay much longer, or come back soon. Highly recommend Hostal de Antaño.

They were very kind to us, and we had no issues at all. The person looking after guests was professional and let me choose a breakfast time. Whenever I left my room at the agreed time, breakfast was already served promptly on the table.
