Hotel Stanford Santiago

This was my first time in chile and santiago, and my first review. The place is old and worn for the price, but I could have dealt with that. What upset me was the front desk treating me rudely. I'd told the staff twice, once before arrival and again at check-in, that I'd stay an extra night after my group's arrangements. When I returned, they called my room and acted like I'd robbed them by not checking out. I explained I'd arranged it in advance and confirmed it at check-in, and said I could come down. I went down and paid, but they were still rude and made me feel like I was stealing. The wifi also doesn't work. I wouldn't have complained about the age of the place or the wifi if I hadn't been treated that way 😔

I wouldn't stay here again. The service was really bad, and after two nights my room still hadn't been cleaned. I had to ask for fresh towels myself, and the staff offered no help solving the problem. The location is good if that's all you care about. Otherwise, I'd look for somewhere else.

We rented the Yankee room for a karaoke night, and the song selection was extensive even though the machine’s remote was in Korean. The service was spectacular. They extended our time and brought us delicious snacks and drinks.

I was there for a three-week business trip and ended up switching rooms four times, but none worked for me. The curtains barely blocked any light, not even what felt like a firefly, so if you need a dark room to sleep, stay away. The Wi-Fi was also very weak and slow. I couldn't even connect to my company's VPN.
