Hotel Marcos Gamero

The decor was wonderful, breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent. We loved our stay, and the staff were friendly.

We brought our dog along, and really appreciated how welcoming and pet friendly they were. We’ll be back. The hotel has a charming breakfast atmosphere, and the building was designed or manufactured by the same man who did the Eiffel Tower. The owners have kept the hallways true to the building’s rich history. We learned it’s been in the family since it opened in 1982. Our room had a cute balcony overlooking the street, just right for unwinding with a glass of wine. It was recently remodeled, and I was impressed by its quality, attention to detail, and overall look. The room was clean and comfortable, and I wish I’d stayed longer. Such an unexpected little gem in downtown Talca.

We found the hotel on Booking and stayed one night. It was fantastic, and we were glad it welcomed pets. There are lots of beautiful spaces with their own decor, especially the breakfast area. Ask the manager about the piece designed by the Eiffel Tower architect. There are lots of details that are easy to miss and make the hotel more interesting.

Rex at the desk was great, and the refurbished rooms are bright and lovely. We were on the ground floor, though, and noise came through from the next room and the corridor. There was a connecting door between rooms, and the lack of sound insulation made it quite noisy. They really need to fix that.
