Sing Yuet Hostel

Having a water dispenser and washing machine available was a pleasant surprise, and both came in handy. The staff were generally friendly and helpful, with someone around at all hours. I stayed for six days. My room was right next to reception, and the walls are thin, so I heard a lot of noise from people passing. It didn't disturb my sleep, though it usually got quiet around midnight unless guests came back late. It depends on who's staying at the time. The other guests were friendly, and the busy shopping street felt safe to me. It's also close to the MTR and a bus stop. The room was small, as you'd expect with prime accommodation in Hong Kong, but reasonably clean and comfortable. I travel light, so it was fine for me. I noticed a few ants, which I could accept, but don't leave food unsealed or it'll attract lots more. I'm glad I booked with Sing Yuet and would consider it again when travelling solo in Hong Kong.

For a budget hostel in Mong Kok, this felt safe, with an environment I preferred to Chung King. It's worth the price, and I'd love to stay again. Getting around is easy, and there are plenty of places nearby for shopping, dining and strolling. I hope others get to experience it too.

The room was really small, but the location was great and the staff were nice. I landed late and expected to reach the hotel around midnight, but couldn't find it because the pin on Google was wrong. Luckily, a police officer was walking nearby and looked at the photos from an earlier review.

It's in a very convenient spot for eating and shopping, and the room was clean. There are water tanks for guests outside, and they ask for a 100 HKD key card deposit. The hostel is on the 10th floor. The room was the tiniest I've ever seen, with no window, but it was quiet enough to rest. Some guests get up early and make noise as they pass by.
