I’ve stayed here for about two years, and the community team is always nice, especially King, Eva and Abby. When I changed rooms, King helped dispose of the rubbish from my belongings. Weave is a good place for exchange students and people who’ve just moved to HK. The room is small but clean and modern.

The male security guard made me feel humiliated as soon as I entered the lobby. He asked if I was a food delivery person (“Are you delivering food?”). I was already frustrated when I said I was staying there, but he kept questioning me as if he didn’t believe me: “Which room are you staying in?” (“Which room are you staying in??”). Anyone who overheard would have found it deeply disrespectful. I never expected to pay to stay at a hotel and be made to feel like I didn’t belong, just because I didn’t “look the part.” Maybe I didn’t look wealthy enough to be there. The guard was all smiles, laughing and chatting with a Westerner, while treating someone of my own background, “one of us,” with suspicion. It felt like respect was filtered by appearance and skin tone. The room was noisy enough that I could hear every step from upstairs. The whole place was unsuitable if you want peace and quiet, and even the sound of the door closing was loud and irritating. The guard’s attitude left a lasting impression, for all the wrong reasons. Your reply made me angrier. This wasn’t about security. It was about being judged by my appearance as soon as I walked in and treated with suspicion because I didn’t “look the part.” You didn’t acknowledge the harm and instead justified it as a security matter, ignoring the prejudice at the heart of it. That felt like a direct endorsement of discriminatory behavior. You’ve made it clear that I’m expected to tolerate being mistaken for a delivery person based on how I look. I won’t. Being judged and questioned just for walking in will stay with me. This wasn’t a misunderstanding; it was a clear act of prejudice, and you chose to defend it. The experience left a mark, and your reply made it worse. Your response showed management to be just as judgmental, dismissive and unapologetic as the guard. I won’t return, and I’ll share this experience publicly.

King was great about extending my stay, even when I asked at short notice, and the security team had some really lovely people. The room is on the small side, but it was clean, modern, and had what I needed. You’re right by the subway and there are plenty of good local restaurants nearby. It’s a little pricey, but I thought the experience was worth it. I’d recommend it for a few months in Hong Kong if you want to meet people and feel safe.

The shared kitchen, living room, and gym made it easy to meet people, and the events had a nice variety. The team made an effort to include everyone, so connecting with others felt natural. I stayed at Weave Prince Edward’s for two months and would recommend it. My room had everything I needed, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. With the MTR and buses close by, getting around was easy and most places were reachable in [source text ends here].

I liked that it was comfortable and thoughtfully set up without being fancy, so I didn’t feel I was paying extra for luxury. The room size didn’t bother me; it was comfy, and there’s also the lounge and rooftop to spend time in. It was perfectly clean and nicely decorated, with useful touches like extra storage and toothbrush holders. The kitchen, laundry, and rooftop were convenient, and there’s a security guard downstairs, which made it feel free of creepy people.
