I came back a few months later and stayed for another week. It’s a great base for exploring this beautiful region, and the specialty coffees at the coffee shop were a bonus. The skilled baristas are there from 11am - 6pm. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the service is great. You’re close to everything, and the local breakfast is delicious, though it costs extra. WiFi can be patchy, but it works well if you’re in the front or middle section of the house. I’d recommend staying here, or stopping in for a good cup of coffee.

The rooms are lovely and well kept, and there’s a great range of specialty coffee. My only gripe was the weak WiFi in the rooms at the back. It’s a beautiful place otherwise.

The setting is nice and the food and drink are standard fare. It gets pretty hot in Barichara, so I was surprised the menu had no cold coffee drinks, like a café frappé or Cafe Granizado. They did have affogato, though, with espresso and a very small scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The carrot cake was spot on, and there were good pastry options along with great coffee. Service was amazing, and the space is so pretty and relaxing that you might end up lingering longer than planned.
