Hotel Portofino

I booked for four days and ended up staying ten. The staff were incredible and kept helping me work through the language barrier, even though my Spanish is limited. Google translator helped too. When I couldn't figure out the buses, they stepped in with a smile. My room was simple and clean, with a bed, wardrobe, TV and bathroom. The location is brilliant: a short walk left takes you to a main street with restaurants and specialty shops, and you can see a fancy supermarket and shopping mall. To the right are traditional restaurants and unbelievable cafes. Some people nearby speak a little English, though you may only find out once you're struggling with Spanish. Have a go and smile.

The crew were friendly, kind and helpful. The night shift hostess really stood out, answering almost any questions I had about the city, offering recommendations and responding quickly to guest requests. It's a cheap, comfortable choice for a few days in Bogota. Since it's downtown, there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants nearby, open late, which could suit you if you like nightlife.

A decent hotel with nice staff and a simple breakfast included. It's right in the heart of Bogotá, so getting around and exploring is easy.

A small hotel with a family feel and a good breakfast. The customer service is excellent, and there are good restaurants around it, a mall across the street, a 24-hour supermarket and public transport. I recommend it.
