Casa del Pozo Boutique Hostel

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOSTEL! I cancelled because we could no longer travel, and did it within the free cancellation period. The hostel emailed to say they'd refund me, but a month and a half later there's still no money back. They ignore my emails and messages. Horrible customer service, they stole my money despite the cancellation and promised refund. This feels like a scam.

The location in Getsemani was perfect, close to everything but still quiet and super safe. There are lockers, beds with curtains, good AC, a clean pool, coffee all day, and a welcome drink. The staff were so kind. I arrived early, and Fairud let me leave my things, shower, have free coffee, and even use the pool before check-in. The other reception staff speak great English too. Wonderful hostel!

We cancelled our trip within the allowed period and were still charged. Months later, after going back and forth with them, we still haven't got our money back. At one point they acted as if they were going to issue the refund, then didn't. This hostel is unethical, and I wouldn't book with them.

The staff really made the place for us. Everyone was friendly, smiled, joked around, and chatted with us. When we had to leave at 4.45am for our flight, they arranged a taxi and packed breakfast for us to take along. Our private room was basic but clean and had what we needed. The hostel has a great layout and art, plus a small but cool pool. Breakfast was really good and there was a free drink from 7-8pm. It's right in the old City, in a touristy street and alley as you'd expect, but there were also piles of Colombians around. Decent price, highly recommended.
