Residencias La Marquesa 2

The whole place felt heavy inside, like a prison with a satellite dish. The rooms are only 5 square meters, the service is mediocre, and even though the parking was just a hallway I couldn’t access without first notifying the attendant, they charged me the highest parking fee. A terrible stay. I don’t recommend it. Despite the low price, I found much better options.

This is a hostel, and it works well as a simple base for a night if you’re heading out early, for example to visit Los Nevados National Natural Park, as I did. You can leave your luggage safe while you’re out. It has the basics: bed, TV, bathroom, and Wi-Fi, but don’t expect extras or special amenities. If you’re travelling with children or staying for a longer time, you may want to reconsider. The staff are attentive, and the manager can give information and make contacts for trips around the region, including Los Nevados National Natural Park. With that in mind, I recommend it.

The service was acceptable, but the place was cramped, tiny, and ugly. My sheets were dirty and used, with dirt and hair on them, and the whole place smelled unpleasant. I couldn’t shower because the showers were broken. They moved me to another area, but the system there was so inefficient that it was impossible to use. I absolutely don’t recommend it.

For the price, this is the best option I found in the area, with excellent value, good service, and clean rooms. It’s in the historic center, near the Chipre neighborhood and other tourist attractions. The only downside is that the room could use better ventilation or a window.
