Hotel Lares 70 Laureles

The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and kind. I absolutely loved staying here and would come back anytime.

The hotel forgot to arrange our airport transfer, and there were no windows in the rooms. We found cockroaches in the rooms, and the bathroom hairs hadn't been cleaned. They didn't clean even after we asked. Very bad hotel. Avoid it.

My partner loved the parrots in the trees right in front of the hotel, where they could see them in their natural habitat. That was our biggest charm, and I'll upload photos of them. The hotel has a homey feel, with charismatic staff and exceptional guest service. The receptionists were very friendly and happy to help, and the cook was kind and very skilled. Breakfast was always delicious, though it wasn't varied and was the same each day. The place is small, and at least my room was too, but it was well appointed, with good ventilation, air conditioning, a good-sized TV with internet access, and Wi-Fi that worked quite well. Cleanliness was excellent, no complaints. The bathroom only has soap packets, but shampoo is available at reception or the nearest store for very reasonable prices. There's a Jumbo supermarket nearby with a currency exchange if you need to change dollars. Pizzerias, bakeries, fried chicken stands, souvenir shops, bars, party buses, and a metro station are all close by. It's near 70th Street, where you can find everything you need, and its central location makes it a great lodging option.

The location is superb for a full day of exploring, with restaurants, bars, and cafes nearby. The stay was truly delightful, the place was clean, and the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly.
