Alexandra and Juan are wonderful owners who really care about their guests. Their dog Linker is handsome and friendly, too. The hostel is cozy, clean, and very quiet, in a great neighborhood away from gringoland. There's a very large kitchen and a restaurant next door. Make sure to try the delicious Aripas @ Chepita before you leave. It's a new place, so don't expect perfection.

Alexandra and Juan are the best! I loved being in such an authentic part of town, with mercados, parks, Casa de la Memoria, Plaza Botero and lots of other interesting places close by. The hostel had a great vibe, plenty of room, and was super clean. One of the best places I’ve stayed.

The staff were friendly and the neighborhood felt safe, and it was good value for a low price. But the mosquitoes were a real problem: over 10 nights I got about 30 bites. Also, avoid the area where people smoke pot beside the nearby stinking creek.

There’s a free laundry area, a TV in the living room, and a small kitchen that’s easy to use. The bunk beds are comfortable, and with only six beds in a dorm it wasn’t noisy. Juan is a nice owner, and the hostel itself is small, friendly, and tidy. It’s close to Bicentennario Park and the Tranvia Tram Station, with Memory House Museum, several supermarkets, and a market by Parque Boston all within walking distance. The main drawback is that banks and ATMs are quite a walk away.

It’s clean and well organized, and I’d happily recommend staying here. I especially liked that it’s in a local, non-touristy area while still being near attractions like Museo Casa de la Memoria, the tram, UVA de la imaginación, Pablo Tobón Uribe theater, and the city center.
