The Garden of Blues Hostel

The patio was a lovely place to unwind, and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and changed each day. The staff were friendly and helpful, everything was spotless, and the laundry service was very efficient. It’s also well placed for bars and restaurants.

The beds were comfortable, the showers had hot water, and breakfast was fantastic. It’s close to El Poblado’s restaurants and bars but quiet enough to get away from the noise. The staff were friendly. Laundry at COP$20,000 felt a little pricey, and the WiFi was patchy. Still, a good base for exploring Medellin.

There are plenty of tasty places to eat around El Poblado, and the relaxed atmosphere and free breakfast were nice. They accidentally overbooked us, so we had to stay at another hostel. The staff were kind and accommodating, though, and invited us to hang out at the Garden of Blues and have the free breakfast each day.

Garden of Blues has two buildings on the same block in El Poblado. We had a nice stay in a clean, safe neighborhood with plenty of food nearby, including some unexpected options like pizza on a stick and doner kebab. The rooms are unisex, the breakfast was decent, and the outdoor garden has pretty decor.
