Hacienda Hotel El Percal

We were a group of 10 visiting in February 2025, with people from Colombia, Austria and the USA. When the showers ran either cold or scalding hot, staff struggled to resolve it. The other available rooms had the same problem, and after a lot of back and forth they offered us VIP rooms, but wanted to charge us extra. We hadn't asked for an upgrade, just usable shower water. There were also roaches, so keep that in mind. We also asked for almond milk and a woman in the kitchen said, “Almond milk is just for foreigners.” That felt like very poor service, borderline racist, and showed she wasn't prepared. We were foreigners ourselves, but the staff seemed to assume otherwise because we speak Spanish. Almond milk shouldn't depend on someone's country of origin. Be careful about bringing your business here.

The staff treated us with so much warmth, and the plants around the place are beautiful. We stayed in a spacious deluxe room with a balcony and enjoyed the views. My Polish family and I loved this welcoming little spot, a traditional coffee region farm turned into a small hotel. Thank you.

We'd love to return. David and Camilo were so helpful, and the cheerful cook at dinner was very talented. We stayed upstairs in rooms that felt nicely updated while keeping their rustic charm. The hotel was lovely, with birds and flowers all around us.

The staff were super nice and accommodating, and the finca's pets were friendly with people. My family and I had an amazing time and are already looking forward to coming back. It's a relaxing place full of wildlife and all kinds of birds, about a 10-minute drive from Parque del Cafe. They offer rides to and from the park for 20,000, a small fee at the time I wrote this, and also have an airport shuttle, though I can't remember the cost. The rooms have Direct TV and a turn down service. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and an umbrella or rain jacket.
