Hostal El Zorzal

Mauret and Carmen were wonderful hosts, and breakfast was plentiful, varied, and delicious. I loved the veranda, which looks over a lush garden full of trees, flowers, and birds. The reception and breakfast area are lovely, too. As a solo traveler carrying a heavy backpack, I found the location especially convenient: just one block from the bus terminal and around 5-15 minutes on foot from Salento's main square and streets. Somehow it's also tucked away, quiet, and green. The accommodations are modest, but clean, pretty, and thoughtfully set up, with hangers, a mirror, useful curtains, and shelves. I really hope I can return someday!

Right by the bus terminal and still close to the city center, this was a great location. The garden and terrace were lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast tasted great. The hot shower was wonderful, too. A peaceful, welcoming hostel, highly recommend.

The bed could have been more comfortable, but the room was clean and having windows was nice. The staff were so kind, breakfast was good, and I loved the coffee. It's about a minute from the bus terminal, which is handy with heavy bags. Although it's outside the center, Salento is small, so town is still very close.

The bus terminal is right in front of the hotel, and downtown is less than a 10-minute walk, with local restaurants along the way. Our balcony had a beautiful view, and the room was quiet and relaxing. Everyone on staff, from reception and the kitchen to the cleaning team, was kind, helpful, and passionate. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Salento for a peaceful stay.
