Decameron Maryland All Inclusive

We had a really good time with the family 😊. The staff were amazing, especially at the restaurant. Such an amazing stay!

The staff made my whole family feel at home during a warm stay, and they were always attentive to what we needed. They’re the reason for my 4 stars. The buffet was okay, but the rooms need updating ASAP, especially the bathrooms. For what we paid, I expected more, and nothing here surprised me. I’d heard good things about Decameron Hotels, but they need to improve the infrastructure to deliver 4-star service. The hotel is well located, five minutes from the airport and ten from downtown, though it isn’t beachfront and you have to walk a little to the nearest beach. I recommend Rocky Cay for a lovely sunset and spectacular beach since it’s part of Decameron group. San Andres feels stuck in the past, sadly. Nothing has changed since my last visit 30 years ago.

The local hospitality made this stay memorable. Everyone was warm and friendly from check-in through checkout, and they surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful sea-view room. I didn’t expect that, and it was the highlight of my trip. The food was good, with a decent variety. The location was perfect, just a nine-minute walk from the airport. There’s a nice private beach, or you can walk to the other side and rent a tent with a sun chair for $10 for the whole day. You can hear planes, but it’s manageable, with about 10 flights a day. I’ve visited San Andrés several times, and none of my stays compare. I’ll keep coming back. Thanks so much for everything 🙏🏼

We liked being tucked away from the main commercial areas, and getting around was still convenient. The food was good, though having just one restaurant meant it got repetitive; being able to visit the other Decameron hotels on the island was a nice bonus. The rooms were both ready only at 4:00pm, and they were still wet and not cleaned properly. The hotel looks newer in photos, but I think that may be a San Andres effect, since tourism here seems stuck in time. We visited with family and had a great experience overall.
