There's a supermarket, the beach, and plenty of restaurants nearby, so you have the essentials close at hand. The place feels quiet and modern, with that island atmosphere, and works perfectly for a couple. If you're after an authentic island feel instead of a tourist trap, stay here. You won't be disappointed. We're definitely coming back next year.
Down in the south of the island, this place is beautifully decorated and peaceful, with beaches close by. The owner speaks several languages. Highly recommend.

It's a lovely, peaceful spot in the countryside, quite close to the beaches at San Luis.
For getting into town, public transport stops right outside and costs just $2400 pesos, while a taxi is $45,000 pesos. The owner and house manager are especially friendly. This is a simple, comfortable place that feels like home, ideal if you want a break from downtown's busy atmosphere. San Luis Beach, one of the island's prettiest, is only a few blocks away. There's a kitchen with what you need to cook, and the rooms have air conditioning. Highly recommended!
