Donde Ruka Hostal

I booked about two months ahead and emailed to confirm. They replied that the reservation was fine, but when I arrived, nobody was there. I rang the bell for ages, went back several times, and still couldn’t get anyone to answer. It was raining, and I had to find somewhere else to stay. This was a terrible experience and didn’t feel professional at all. How can a hostel have nobody there?

I recommended it to some friends from Bogotá, and they were delighted with their stay.

I can’t give this a good or excellent rating. Unfortunately, my daughter was scammed: she paid a deposit to book a room for Easter week, but when we arrived, we found that the hostel didn’t exist.

The reception area and other shared rooms look nice, but the bedrooms had hygiene problems and water issues. The air conditioning was switched off while people were still in the room, with staff saying it was on a timer. We were given a fan that seemed to be a service one, with paint on it. The four-person rooms have no TV. We also had to ask for towels, soap, and toilet paper because none were in the room.
