The one good thing was the person who welcomes guests in the kitchen. He was friendly, helpful, always smiling, and ready to assist. I can’t recall his name, but you’ll recognize him around the restaurant. During our eight-day stay, there was never hot water in the shower or jacuzzi. We tried to cancel because the place didn’t meet the advertised standards, but Booking.com’s external policies meant we couldn’t, so we stayed. Every night, people drank, shouted, and played loud music outside the rooms late into the night. Cars were noisy too, and light came in through gaps in the curtains.

Catalina went above and beyond to move us to a quieter room, and her service was outstanding. The interior décor was pleasant, and the rooms were satisfactory, nothing special. The hotel sits right beside the Villavicencio–Restrepo road, so constant car and truck traffic made it quite noisy. The pool area was crowded with children and loud music, which made it hard to relax.

The breakfast was incredible, mixing typical El Llano food with an American breakfast. I really enjoyed bringing my family, and I hope we can visit again soon. It’s a good, safe place to rest, with a great pool.

The included breakfast was really good, and we slept well in a comfortable, air-conditioned room. We only stayed one night at hotel vanguardia, so we didn't get a chance to use the swimming pools. I'd stay here again.

Clean room and comfortable beds, and it was good value for the price. Nothing fancy, just comfortable enough for a weekend. The one downside was that there was no hot water.
