Hotel Natural Hill's by H&R

The food is great and the service outstanding, so I do recommend this place. But on our second visit, just two weeks after the first, the pool was much too dirty. That made me think it isn’t cleaned often, which isn’t ideal for this kind of place. Hopefully it’s clean when you go.

We arrived for New Year’s Eve with high expectations, but the stay was disappointing, and I felt the price was high for what we got. It’s far from town, so we had to rely on the hotel restaurant, but several things on the menu weren’t available. At the bar, I was told the menus hadn’t been updated and the item I wanted was no longer sold. That seemed absurd during peak holiday season. The hotel could be a very pleasant place with better management, especially around cleanliness and customer service. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the toilet was broken and its tank wouldn’t refill. Cleanliness elsewhere was poor: food scraps covered the restaurant floor, the cutlery was dirty when we ate, and the tables were dirty too, with ants and wasps around the leftover food. The pool wasn’t clean either, and its floor was slippery for bare feet. A child slipped coming out of the pool and hit his head hard. During our four days there, the pool shower corners stayed green and moldy, with something like blackberry juice around it. It was never cleaned. The waiters were friendly and tried their best, but seemed untrained. They forgot orders, sometimes leaving us waiting half an hour, and when we asked, they’d say, “Sorry, we forgot.” We had to order again because there was no other option so far from town. Around 7 pm, from the pool, we could see staff tasting things like cocktails and French fries as they took food outside the restaurant.

It’s a beautiful place to get away from everything, which makes what we recently saw upsetting. A post showed what was clearly the hotel’s camera focused on a young woman who seems to work there, wearing a different uniform, alongside a young man on a motorcycle. It’s obvious they hadn’t agreed to have their faces shown. If that’s what happened to them, I don’t want to imagine what else may have been shown. Employees using the cameras for their own entertainment is very unpleasant.
