Hotel Las Flores

The place was clean and comfortable, and the owner and staff were wonderfully helpful.

Roaches were everywhere, even on our pillows, and ants got in through the door that opened onto someone’s backyard. The rooms felt neglected and cramped, some almost like prison cells. Ours was very public too: the window showed everything while you showered, including to people in that neighboring backyard. Loud music and constant rooster noises made it hard to sleep. Cats and bugs were crawling on us at night, and there was no privacy. Getting in and out was a struggle. You have to turn the key seven times to the right and eight to the left, and thankfully an employee noticed us wrestling with the lock and helped open the door. There are better places within walking distance, so this might suit you if you don’t plan to spend much time in the hotel.

A decent, cheaper option compared with the expensive spa places. It’s on the main road, so there’s some noise, but the staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was large, with two beds, working AC, a fridge, WiFi, and hot water. There’s a small restaurant attached, parking, and the centro is walkable. We also had great volcano views.

I came across this place by accident, and it turned into a great stay. The room was quiet and clean, tucked at the back of the property on the ground floor. Breakfast was included, and the staff were super sweet and helpful. The garden was beautiful, and it was great value right in town.
