My wife and I have dined at their restaurant several times, and we’re used to fine dining. We both got our steaks prepared just as requested, a generous beef filet for her and yellow fin for me. The service was attentive, the tablecloths were linen, and the outdoor dining area was open but covered. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. Worth checking out.

The restaurant and bar serve quite good food at very reasonable prices. The bed was roomy, but extremely hard, like a box spring without a mattress. At other places in our roughly $100-a-night price range, we’ve had awful beds and no hot water. Guacamaya Lodge did have hot water. The front desk staff were so friendly. We got there hours before check-in, and she gave us coffee and pool towels and invited us to relax until the room was ready.

Our group of six had a marvelous dinner here on Christmas Day. The food and drinks were outstanding, the staff were wonderful, and we really enjoyed the ambiance. If you’re within 20 miles of the restaurant, you wouldn’t be disappointed eating here.

We stopped by for cocktails and found the best selection of alcohol in the area. Prices and service were both good, and we’ve enjoyed the food there too. They stay open all day, unlike many places nearby that only open for certain hours.

Four beautiful days at Guacsmaya Lodge. The architecture feels thoughtful, and the tropical gardens and quiet setting fit naturally into the landscape. Great food at good prices. Highly recommended.
