Josue and his crew were so kind and made us feel like friends visiting. We arrived without reservations after visiting Rincon de la Vieja, and they compassionately got us into a room right away. Josue let us settle in before sorting out the check-in details, and even made sure we received a three-course dinner. The Ranch itself is incredible, with rolling hills glowing in the sunset. There’s a beautiful pool, waterslide, and hot tub tucked into the jungle. Wildlife, horses, and the resident dogs and cat made us feel at home. We could have stayed a week.

We stayed in the Geodesic done and watched white horses run past beneath a rainbow. My daughters called them unicorns. The hike to the top took about 25 minutes, was manageable with young kids, and was well worth it for the views of two volcanoes. Up in the mountains, it’s cooler and rainier than Samara. What an amazing place, and the hot tub was good, too.

Our flight got cancelled, so my partner and I found this lovely spot for the night. We stayed in one of the newly built tents, which was fantastic, with stunning views all around. Jorge was a courteous, friendly host and shared a lot of Latin American history with us. He served a delicious dinner and helped us feel at home. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we’ll definitely be back.

The remote setting was a real pleasure, with amazing views and lovely sunrises over the volcano each morning. We spent three nights in the four bedroom apartment, and the staff brought us three delicious dinners and three breakfasts there. After our morning hikes, the pool was a favorite place to relax. Jorge was a great host and joined us for dinner on our last night. We highly recommend this ranch for groups of any size. There are also two cute dogs who walk with you to and from the pool. We loved having them as little walking partners!

The food was delicious and felt really authentic, and the beautiful property made it easy to relax. Leonardo and everyone else there were excellent hosts and made us feel so welcome. The location is wonderful for the park, and the sweetest dogs live on the property. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.
