Awesome little place with a great Samara location and just the right vibe. I made new friends almost straight away, and we all found a fun salsa dancing spot on the beach. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was wonderful. We only stayed one night, but Ryan and her Hostel is definitely the place to stay in Samara.

The Saturday market is only half a block away, and the beach is a block down a quieter street. We had a great breakfast, saw monkeys and birds, and found the staff really kind and helpful. A great stay in Samara.

The room felt like a bunker, with its view facing a wall. For $50 a night, I've had much better rooms in Costa Rica. The place also wasn't very clean: there was a dead insect under our bed, and old things like bottle crates were lying around. The receptionists were nice, though they didn't seem especially motivated. Breakfast was included, but we had to leave early. My partner asked if they could prepare something for us and was told yes, but they forgot. When my partner asked again, another woman suddenly said no and handed us four bananas 😂. We're still thankful for those, but this has never been a problem at other hotels. The location is good, not far from the beach.

The breakfast each morning was amazing and authentic, and my room had a great shower and a wonderful air conditioner. The property itself is gorgeous, with a very chill, positive and inclusive feel among the kind, attentive staff and other guests. It's a short walk to a beautiful beach, and downtown shops and restaurants are nearby too. I'd definitely stay here again when I return to Samara. I'd recommend it to solo travelers, families, friends, or anyone else visiting the area.
