Casa Batsu Charming BnB

The garden is gorgeous, the rooms are clean, and you can hear birds chirping. Carlos, his family, and the staff took such good care of us and were so accommodating, like friends or family. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit, coffee or juice, and made-to-order dishes such as pancakes, French toast, avocado toast, and cassado (spelling?). There’s also a cute little cafe where you can buy coffee, pastries, and cakes. Laundry was done within hours for a very reasonable fee. Casa Batsu BnB is in a great Monteverde location, close to most adventure spots. We had an absolutely wonderful experience.

We had a great night at this beautiful property, and would certainly stay again. Carlos was helpful before and throughout our visit. He recommended Choco Cafe for dinner, where we had our best meal in Costa Rica, made us a fantastic breakfast, and stored our luggage while we visited El Tigre Falls.

Carlos cooked breakfast himself, with a tasty special each day. We had huevos racheros and eggs benedict, and he even remembered one of us doesn’t like runny eggs. The place was beautiful, from our rooms to the common areas where we ate breakfast, and their dog Rex was super friendly and loved being petted. Carlos, his family, and the staff were thoughtful and accommodating, making sure we were comfortable. Casa Batsu made our Costa Rica trip so much better.

Santa Elena was an easy walk away, so we could stay out late without needing a car to get back. We spent two nights at Casa Batsu in Monteverde and loved it, our favorite stop on the trip. The colorful casa felt welcoming, breakfast was amazing, the room was clean and beautiful, and the hosts were kind and helpful. We felt very well looked after and would stay again on another Monteverde visit. Pura Vida!
