Cabinas Corazon

Cabinas Corazon was perfect for us, and the hosts went out of their way to be thoughtful and helpful. The location was quiet but convenient, just minutes from Tamarindo, with a grocery store across the street and restaurants and shops nearby. Tour buses and our airport shuttle picked us up right at the property. We stayed in the spacious Scuba Safari suite, which had lovely handmade local art and a well-stocked kitchenette with the basics and utensils to store and prepare food. The property is gorgeous, with flowers, fruit trees, and a large pool. There’s also a central rancho building by the pool with a bathroom, outdoor grill, and table. Since we were there over the holidays, we grilled a Christmas feast. We’ll definitely stay again.

This is a must for my next trip. I loved the pool, and we had a BBQ using the rancho’s refrigerator and grill. It also has a restroom, so you can take care of things outside without going back to your cabina. The room was great, and I loved hearing the birds and animals in the jungle. Don’t expect an American-style resort anywhere in CR. Come for the charm and rustic feel. Both owners were kind and recommended restaurants and beaches. I’ve been to many places, but these two ladies made me feel especially welcome and at home. Thank you!

The host really made the stay for us. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good time and shared great ideas for things to do, places to visit, and spots to eat. I loved every minute.

The pool and the quiet, natural surroundings were a real pleasure. Getting downtown was easy too, about five minutes by bus, taxi, or colectivo. I spent two weeks at this lovely place, though unfortunately I had to head back south on the peninsula. It was the best option around Tamarindo for me, and I’m sure I’ll return.
