I was able to truly get off a schedule here, which is rare for me. Having Lelo’s on site meant no planning meals, rushing around, or organizing rides. The restaurant made a huge difference, and Jafeth in the kitchen was accommodating and a pleasure to see at every meal. In less than a week, I felt completely rejuvenated. Emmanuel, Nahomy, and the whole team were wonderful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with excellent beds, and I can’t wait to offer Drift Away Eco Lodge and Retreat to my retreat clients. The yoga shala is a great bonus, with mats, blocks, and sound bowls already there, especially handy because sound bowls are delicate to transport. The pool is beautiful, and there are several open-air areas for gathering, workshops, or masterminds. The beach is walkable, which matters to me. The nearest one is calm and peaceful, while another a short walk away has a livelier feel, chairs, and a great restaurant. Excursions are nearby, and the Drift Away team can help arrange transportation wherever you need. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to unplug or host a meaningful retreat.

My wife and I spent a month here and loved it. It’s been under new management for just the last six months and feels like a hidden gem. The restaurant is very good and affordable compared with Tamarindo.

We were a group of 16 on a school trip. The facilities were clean, the air conditioners worked well, and we could walk to the beach. Meals arrived on time and were hot and delicious. Manuel was accommodating, keen to hear our feedback, and willing to make adjustments. This place is growing and could become a rockstar location. For travel, fly into Liberia rather than San Jose. The extra money is worth it and saves hours of travel.

We had a magnificent three weeks here while I hosted a yoga retreat and a YTT. Maria, the manager, took good care of us, and all the staff were attentive to our guests’ needs. Our students loved the place. The location is ideal, quiet and near a uncrowded beach, and the resort itself is calm and cozy. The yoga studio is large enough for 30 people.
