Ten North Tamarindo Beach Hotel

On my first trip back to Tamarindo in 15 years, this little hotel helped make the visit perfect. The pool was quiet and shaded, just what we needed on cold days. Our room had a cute patio with enough shelter to sit outside in the rain instead of being stuck indoors. The room was clean, breakfast was DELICIOUS, and service was great. The beach, places to eat and drink, and a grocery store right across the street were all close. They also had free beach chairs, fluffy pool towels, and a little clothes line for each unit. The AC was frigid in the best way, and I slept really comfortably. I'd come back in a heartbeat. I'd read complaints about club noise, but the club closes at 1030, and between the noise machine in every room and the AC, it didn't bother us at all.

Our family chose a two room suite on the first floor, and breakfast was brought each morning to our own outdoor table. The stay was a gem: close to everything, just a few blocks from the beach and on the way to the main restaurants and shops, yet tucked away enough to stay quiet and peaceful. Thanks to Veronica and Karol at the front desk, Laura, and the rest of the hospitality team. We enjoyed our time at Ten North and in Tamarindo.

Everything in town is an easy walk, just a few blocks to the hotspots, but the hotel is far enough away that you're not surrounded by party noise. It was calm and relaxing right in the middle of Tamarindo, and everyone on staff was warm and welcoming. If you're lucky, you might get to pet Mimi the cat! I'd 100% stay here again on my next Costa Rica trip.

A sweet place with lovely staff, right in the heart of this Tamarindo area and only about 5 minutes from the beach. Restaurants are all around in every direction. The neighborhood has a nice bohemian feel and was a great introduction to Costa Rica. I stayed for just three nights, but could picture working remotely here for a month. Breakfast by the pool each morning was lovely.
