For around $40 total, we spent 3 nights in the little glamping hut. That’s unbeatable value for Uvita, and the owner was friendly, usually replying quickly, which made things easy. We could also pay by card without extra fees. The location is great, about a 10-minute walk to the beach. The garden is lovely, and the bathrooms were cleaned daily and all good. Still, this is a very basic place, really just a step up from camping. The hut is tiny, with no standing room and barely space for luggage, so our things ended up on the floor. We slept fine, but I wouldn’t find it very comfortable for a longer stay. The shared kitchen is cramped too, making it more or less impossible for more than two people to cook at once. A good choice if you’re on a tight budget and care more about price and location than comfort.

A peaceful retreat with a beautiful setting, close to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and their thoughtful design fit naturally with the surroundings. Staff were warm, welcoming, and ready to help with a smile. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature, with the option of a little adventure too. I highly recommend Ballena Oasis Lodge and would definitely return.

The area is very quiet, but you can still find everything you need nearby, including groceries and good options for breakfast and dinner. The cabins are very clean and nicely located, about a 10-minute walk from the beach. Jorge communicates excellently, and his whole family works on the property. The kitchen has the essentials: a coffee maker, stovetop, fridge, kettle, and all the cutlery you need. Bathrooms are clean too. They also offer taxi service if you ask Jorge, along with activities like horseback riding, scuba diving, and whale watching. Highly recommended.
