Vito is a very friendly, helpful host, and his tasty breakfast is worth recommending. It's a charming B&B in a quiet spot, though a few dogs bark at night. If possible, book directly with him by phone or WhatsApp.

It looks better than the photos, and the window views are lovely. For Santo Antao, it's one of the cheapest options and really good value. There are four rooms for rent, and with the Italian owner around, I got to chat with other travellers. The shared kitchen is well equipped. The neighbours are super friendly, including Wendy, a 12-year-old girl who's very excited to practise her English and French.
The rooms were pretty and clean, and breakfast came included, tasty and in a generous amount. Vito is such a friendly host and puts his whole heart into making the stay pleasant for his guests. Thanks, Vito!
Vito was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean. But the kitchen was filthy, which was especially concerning since that's where he prepared our meals. Our room faced the kitchen, so it was also quite noisy. He spent much of the day there watching loud videos on his phone.
A nice little place in a good location, suited to solo travellers or friends looking for somewhere calm. I'd especially recommend it if you love cats, since the owner has some really cute ones.
