Hostel Merlin

It’s a very good deal for the price and location. The room isn’t very big, but there’s a nice balcony looking over the river, and you can get around easily from here. There’s space for bicycles, plus a toilet on every floor. The common kitchen is available for cooking, and there’s a supermarket right across the way, though I didn’t mention using the kitchen. The bathrooms were very clean, and the receptionist was really friendly.

The hostel is near the river, with a great view and easy access to the bus stop, castle, and supermarkets. We had a nice stay, and the host was very welcoming.

The location is excellent, but the place needs maintenance. Our room was a bit dirty, and the sheets were uncomfortable and covered in hair. The shower door was broken and the water barely got warm. Kitchen gear was very basic, with no colander, and they didn’t seem too concerned about improving it.

I only stayed one night, but found the place clean and friendly. The staff were kind, spoke English fluently, and gave useful advice about getting around and things to do. It’s at the edge of the historic zone, though still close to the main tourist spots. The price was cheap and good value. There’s a shared kitchen, which I didn’t use. I’d recommend it to solo travelers or groups of friends.
