Hotel Opera

The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and we came away feeling that our stay in the hotel and town had been memorable, informative, and fulfilling. Hotel services were efficient, and the staff were kind and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a keyless door for added security. Breakfast was satisfying, with plenty to choose from, and we enjoyed the tasty food served in the restaurant.

Free parking is available, though the spaces are limited. The hotel serves breakfast, and lunch and dinner are also available at a reasonable price.

The room was dirty, with stains on the bedding and drapes, plus ripped and marked walls. I’ve never had to remove the bedding because it was so dirty before. The reception staff were rude, which is especially disappointing when greeting guests is part of the job. They need some training. We booked just one night, and it was the worst experience we’ve had. I’d say save your money and stay away. This hotel wasn’t worth a penny.

Downstairs, there’s a lot going for the place: an entertainment room with two bowling lanes and a pool table, plus a full restaurant with covered outdoor seating. It seems to serve as the town’s main banquet venue, and it’s about 200 from the main attraction. There’s free parking and a coop grocery store 50 meters away. The rooms were a good size for a couple, but ours had ants. In summer, they must get blisteringly hot, with no air provided. It’s the biggest place in Jaromerice bad Rokytnou, and okay for a night.
