Ferdinandhof Apart-Hotel

The entrance is welcoming, the location is good, and having a lift makes getting around easier. The apartment and bathroom were clean, and the kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, and fridge. Ferdinandhof Apart-Hotel made for a comfortable, satisfying stay.

The apartments are beautiful, and the building was designed with care using quality materials. There’s real style to the place, and I’d have liked to meet the person who built it. The service, though, was appalling. The concierge was grumpy and seemed more focused on the city tax than helping us, even though we were already paying 20 times more per day for the room 🤣 He needs to learn to smile, or go back to construction or laundry services. He wasn’t at the desk when we checked out, so we couldn’t report the problems. I wouldn’t call this a four-star hotel with the services on offer. There’s no breakfast and no 18- or 24-hour concierge. The rooms are large but the beds aren’t king-sized. The bedding setup was unusual too, with two single blankets on each bed instead of one large cover. I’d say three stars at best, though better services could make it more. There’s a kitchenette with a few basic items, but key things were missing, like spatulas. The exhaust didn’t work, and the tea box was empty. I’ve seen better in motels. The air conditioning wouldn’t turn on, so there was no heating in the bedroom. I’ll add more to my other report.

The apartments are lovely, the rates affordable, and the area very well located. The bed pillows were the one thing I couldn’t stand. They’re so soft that my neck hurts afterward.

A very nice hotel right in the centre of Karlsbad, with spacious, clean, well-kept rooms and stylish interiors. The reception staff were friendly, the small in-room kitchen was handy, and the wifi worked well. Be ready for a walk of around 150 meters uphill from the city centre, so some fitness helps.
