Interhotel Central

The bathroom was at a two-star level, and the hotel feels stuck in the '90s. We were put in a room for people with disabilities, and its bathroom wasn't what we were supposed to get. There was shampoo but no shower gel. When we asked, the receptionist said shower gel was only for superior rooms, then gave us some afterward. Each shampoo bottle was barely enough for one hair wash. The receptionist was extremely rude. This was a horrible stay, and I would avoid the hotel at all costs.

The location is really convenient, and we had a beautiful view from the balcony. Our room was large and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We only ate breakfast at the restaurant, but there was a big selection and everything was delicious. A couple of things bothered me: the pool water was cold, and the corridors and stairs were dark, with only two of the eight lights working. Guests staying at the hotel should get the sauna for free.

We had full board and the food was so good that we didn't even feel like going out to eat, which is what we usually do. The location made it easy to get around town, with a little park just outside and a breathtaking view from our room. It was quiet, clean, and spacious too. The staff really stood out, professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. Their service felt like five-star service. The medical staff were quick to respond and on top of things as well. Loved the stay, and I'll definitely come back here on my next trip to Karlovy Vary.

The breakfast was fantastic, with all sorts of hot and cold food, fruit, and vegetables. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel's glamorous design suited Carlsbad without feeling kitschy. The location is great too, on a small square inside the spa area. Apart from Grandhotel Pupp, it's the only hotel there. It has everything inside that you'd expect from a nice four-star place, and I'd definitely stay again. The one letdown was a receptionist who was unwilling, unfriendly, badly behaved, and honestly very lazy. He didn't want us to leave our luggage at reception, and only allowed it until 2 PM, if I remember right. He didn't explain why, but we later realized new guests were arriving then and he couldn't manage everything. He struggled with everything even though the hotel was half empty or more. Apart from that one person's behavior, everything was great.
