The first room they showed us was occupied or unprepared, so ask to see your room before paying. Check the agreed price too, and be ready to use Google Translate. The reception person may seem gloomy, but the location is great, about three minutes from the train and town. Our room was fine, very clean, with lovely sheets and pillows. It was sunny and warm, and had a lovely shower and bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, with huge portions of freshly cooked food and a buffet that covered everything.

The place was clean and in a great location, but the bed creaked. They also made a mistake with our booking, so we had to move to another hotel for the second night.

Breakfast was a great start to the day, and we enjoyed eating at the restaurant both evenings. The local dishes were tasty and interesting. Our room was above the entrance, so we had a balcony where it was nice to sit, though the view could have been better. The hotel feels warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly. They spoke little English, but the receptionist knew enough for us to get by. The car park is small, though there was plenty of street parking. We stayed several nights and had a lovely time.

We had agreed to check in before midnight, but no one was there when we arrived. We tried calling the number they provided and got no answer. We took photos showing we were at the hotel before midnight, yet two days later they claimed someone had been waiting at reception. The photo shows the place was empty, with only a background light on. We had to find the only other hotel open in town and pay an extra £180 rather than sleep in the car. Booking.com wasn't helpful either, as they couldn't find anyone at the hotel who spoke English. Avoid this place, or at least don't pay in advance. It felt like they only wanted our money.
