Pension Malá Plan

It's cozy here, the prices are low, and the owners are great. The garden and seating area are beautiful, and the home cooking is excellent. The equipment is a little old and the mattresses are weak. The ski bus stops 20m away, and it's one stop to the Javor slope. If you're not fancy, I recommend it. We really enjoyed our stay and will come again. Five stars.

24.2.2019: The photos on the discount site didn't match the actual guesthouse. The equipment was terrible, the bathroom was awful and down the hall, and the whole place smelled like the kitchen. The TV didn't work, and staff made no effort to fix it. There was dirt in the cupboards, and no willingness to deal with our complaint. The owner wouldn't accept our reasons or return the money, and offered not even a modest solution. I definitely don't recommend it. 7.7.2019: After making a complaint to the owner, we visited on an alternative date. We were greeted by very nice new staff, who showed us around and took us to the prepared room. Everything was wonderfully clean, with no trace of winter conditions. The professionals looked after us throughout, and guest satisfaction clearly came first. The food was amazing. I definitely recommend it.

Breakfast is fairly basic, but there's fresh bread, hot tea, and good coffee. The hostess also makes dinner, which is quite good. The apartment is warm and generally fine for a 3-5-day ski trip. The location is convenient, halfway between the slopes and the “city center.” The nearby ski bus takes you to the slopes in Pec, and other ski buses go from Pec's slopes to places like Lańskie.

We got one star's worth of an experience, according to the long-haired one and the dog. The dog cost only 100,-kc per night, at least. When we arrived by car, I'd left my phone number behind the glass, and it didn't take long for the owner of the building across from us to explain in exact detail where and when Mala Plan pension customers were parking wrong. An apology and moving the car to a more relaxed spot saved things. Then we settled into a dreamy room with communist-era furnishings, our dog, and a very nice blonde. I won't go on about the positive parts. The toilet and bathroom had hot water, apparently supplied by other similarly enthusiastic communist visitors long before nine in the evening. Retro lamps, paneling, and heating brought back the beauties of our previous life the next morning. The dog literally farted us out of breakfast. My enthusiasm for the boiled eggs ended after I peeled the first one, so I made do with pastries and freshly cut toppings. The last sip was the most interesting coffee of my life. Without a drop of caffeine, we went looking for an ATM, since all that had escaped us was that card payments weren't possible here sixty years ago. The dog's fart gave us the strength to pay, though we wavered. Ah, that's how I'd sum up this accommodation, but it won't impress anyone. Good luck.
