Pension Strnad

The house is spacious and in a nice spot, but it isn’t managed well. We found only two bathrooms instead of the three promised, the place hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the heating was unreliable. For three days running the heaters stayed cold, so we couldn’t dry our ski gear. Leaving was worse. Mrs Jelinkova, who manages the house, came to inspect it, and one of the keys we’d been given had somehow disappeared from the hook by the exit. We searched desperately for nearly an hour, then had to pay a 1500 CZK fine. Mrs. Jelinkova checked the whole house and we got our 200 euro deposit back before driving home. The next day, the owner emailed accusing us of breaking the induction cooker glass and demanding nearly 200 euro. She even sent photos of the broken cooker, but we didn’t break it, and they know that, at least Mrs Jelinkova does.
