The staff were friendly.

We knew the cottage wouldn't be luxurious, and the room was clean, but half the lights didn't work. The owner came across as pushy and arrogant, which may make some guests uncomfortable. There was only a sink in the room, with the toilet and shower shared, and the shower lock didn't work, so using it felt very uncomfortable. Toilet paper was the cheapest kind. The owner insisted that we leave our shoes in the shared areas, even while saying that people steal there.

The garden has nice things for children to do, and the cottage is in a beautiful spot. Food was decent, perhaps worth taking half board, though there's also a kitchenette. The cottage itself is nice. Listen to the lady manager and she won't get cross!

The lady who runs the hotel deserves praise. She can cook excellent meals for a huge group, and the shared bathroom facilities and the rest of the accommodation were clean, with nothing for me to complain about. It's a large mountain chalet with parking right beside it, and it can fit a whole busload of people. The rooms are simply furnished, which suits this kind of stay when you're mainly there for nature.
