The location was a big reason I booked. Tram and trolleybus stops are three minutes away, Wenceslas Square and the National Museum are a five-minute walk, and there’s a corner shop next door. The price was good too. But the hotel itself sold absolutely nothing, not even water or crisps from a vending machine. Our apartment style room had an amazing jacuzzi bath, which was the highlight. It was clean and in good condition, and the room was cleaned daily. The pillows and sofa bed were hard, though, and the air con didn’t do the job. It was set to 19c with the fan on 3, but the room never went below 24.5 degrees C and was usually around 25.5c. I had to ask for a fan, which they brought quickly, but it barely helped. By day two I was dreading another night in the heat. Thank goodness Prague had so much to do, since we mostly came back to sleep and use the jacuzzi. Breakfast was basic, mostly bread, meat, and cheese. The scrambled eggs were inedible. Bacon appeared one morning and was the highlight, and the granola and walnut strudel were nice. If they could have brought the room down to 19c, we’d have had very little to complain about. As it was, the heat made it hard to sleep and ruined the stay. We wouldn’t recommend it or return.

We stayed for two nights and were very happy with our experience. The place was quiet and relaxing, just right for unwinding after a long day exploring Prague. It’s also well located for getting around the city. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Our room was spotless and well kept, which made the stay comfortable. We’d definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Prague. Highly recommended.

The parking spot I wanted wasn’t available because they don’t accept SUVs. The manager rudely told me it was my problem for not reading the listed parking dimensions on the booking. The worst part was being humiliated in front of around ten people. I was carrying things to my car outside the hotel after checking out late. They’d charged me 10 euros for half an hour of overtime, which I’d never experienced in more than 100 hotels, even though I’m regularly late. A staff member had called me to the room to say it would cost 10 euros. When I walked past and said, “one second, I’ll be back,” a plump woman, who I think was the manager, ran after me shouting that I hadn’t paid. I had no intention of leaving without paying 10 euros for an hour of overtime. I went back and angrily asked whether they were normal and whether she had any home education, and how she could behave like that. She was rude in return. One of the worst experiences of my life.

The staff were very friendly, and the bed and room were cozy and comfortable. The hotel was very clean, and the classic breakfasts were fresh and tasty. We especially enjoyed having a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Soundproofing was weak, and the coffee could have been better. I highly recommend the hotel.
