The apartment is spacious and has the essentials, including Wi-Fi. It’s conveniently close to the train and bus stations, and the price was reasonable. But the cold was hard to overlook: the ceiling heating took ages to warm up, perhaps because the panels had collected dust. There were ants around, apparently coming from a nest under the thresholds, plus spiders in the corners. Dust was everywhere, especially beneath the bed, and some dishes hadn’t been washed. The shower has no door, so water gets all over the bathroom. Guests had already reported these problems two years earlier, and they still haven’t been addressed. Also, despite being described as accessible for people with disabilities, the apartment is on a mezzanine level reached by several steps down. The stay was fairly pleasant in some ways, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t give it more than three stars. Don’t be swayed by the Booking reviews.

I’m writing this for anyone who’s unsure, based on my stay in May 2025. The apartment was clean and quiet, just like the photos, and the landlady was helpful, easy to contact, and on time. Don’t be put off by people saying the place is no good. I’d recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a great experience!

There was barely a teaspoon in the place, so you’d have to take turns using it or share it with family or friends. There was about a centimeter of dust under the furniture, the bedroom blinds were missing, the kitchen was broken, and the main door had a hole that made it hard to lock. The bathtub pipes were backing up too. This apartment is uninhabitable. The owner was an unhelpful, rude woman who was always late.

We left with our two toddlers because the flat was so bad, and we lost our money. It was nothing like the pictures, with leaks everywhere, a blocked bath, and poor cleanliness throughout. When we asked the host for help, they blamed us for the problems and called us scammers looking for a free stay. A terrible experience. Avoid it at all costs!

Our trip fell apart when flooding blocked the roads out of Ostrava and the trains were canceled, so we had no way to reach the apartment. It was still empty, and we asked to move the booking to another date. The owner, a very unpleasant Ukrainian woman, said she didn't care that we couldn't get there and refused both a date change and a refund. I wouldn't wish a host like that on anyone.
