Hoffmeister Apartments

The sauna and steam baths were magnificent, though I wish the pricing for them had been explained more clearly. Hoffmeister is right at the foot of Prague Castle, and the old town is about a 20-minute walk away. Our room was spacious, clean, and stocked with a kettle, a working safe, robes, and other useful bits. Breakfast was superb every day, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Check-in accommodation was unbelievably good. Would highly recommend, thanks team Hoffmeister.

The breakfast buffet had a decent range and was satisfying, and the staff were friendly and courteous. We had a huge fifth-floor suite, though the red carpet throughout was a strange choice. The bathroom was also very large, but the shower leaked all over the place. Beds were comfortable, but there were no bedside sockets or charging ports, and the blackout curtains could have been better. The hotel is very central and close to Prague castle, but feels rather tucked away with roads around it. Don't expect a 5* hotel.

My husband picked Hotel Hoffmeister in Prague for his 70th birthday break. The family-run feel made the place intimate, and the waiting staff told us they loved working there. The food, wine and spa were exceptional. I also had a manicure that was far better than the occasional ones I get in the UK. The care was meticulous, and three weeks later my nails still feel like they're on holiday.

Ivana deserves a special thank you for helping us book. We spent New Year's Eve there and had a wonderful evening in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The food was very good and the drinks were excellent. It was a great find for New Year's Eve, when prices elsewhere often shoot up without matching quality. I highly recommend it.
