Hotel Klarov

The room was a good size, and getting around was easy with the metro and tram nearby and major attractions within walking distance. Breakfast was fine, though the same choices every day got repetitive. What really let the stay down was a safety issue. My wife opened a drawer and it fell because its legs were broken. It had clearly been left that way, and it could have seriously hurt someone. If our child had been there, we might have ended up in hospital. The next day they removed the legs and left the drawer in the room unusable. That felt careless and unprofessional. For what we paid, the service and attention to detail weren’t good enough. We could have stayed somewhere with much better service and safety for the same price. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We chose this hotel for our wedding stay, and we’re so glad we did. Philip at reception was warm and welcoming, and helped us with everything we needed. The view from our window was magical, and we really enjoyed breakfast too. Getting around was easy since the tram and metro are close by. We’ll definitely come back in the future!

The breakfast was filling and really good, and the staff were friendly. When we had a couple of issues, they sorted them out quickly. Our room was large, though the lighting was rather poor and it could use an update. The location made our Prague stay easy: there’s a tram stop and metro right nearby, and the Castle is about a 10-minute walk away. It’s expensive, as are most decent hotels in Prague, but I’d still recommend it.

Michaela, the reservations manager, and Daniel, Marketa and Phillip at reception were all wonderful. They helped my wife and me with restaurant bookings and ideas for places to visit, and were very willing to assist. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and breakfast was very good. Hotel Klarov is also in a great spot, with a short walk to Mala Strana on one side of the Vltava and Old Town across the bridge. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Prague (Praha).
