Neklanova Apartments

The service was good, and the people providing it were very good too. The apartment is in the city, about a 1 km walk from the congress centre. As an Indian visiting Europe for the first time, I was surprised there wasn’t any AC or fan. Make sure you check the check-in time before you arrive, since they follow it strictly.

The next day, the manager brought us a physical key to the maid doors and refunded half of what we paid. But we still had nowhere to sleep, and after spending that night out on the street, we were cold. We’d been stuck outside the doors because the online system wasn’t working, with all our things inside and no place to sleep. We called reception, but nobody answered. Those online door-opening links seem really strange to me. What if my phone dies or I have no internet? Then I just can’t get inside?

We did receive partial compensation from the agency after the first night’s problem. That’s the one positive thing I can say. The door code didn’t work on the first night, so we couldn’t get into the apartment, and the door still wouldn’t open even after check-out. Reception had switched off the phone, so we couldn’t reach anyone. The second night, someone entered our apartment, turned off the corridor light, which my friend always leaves on because she’s afraid of the dark, and closed the bedroom door. In the morning, the light was off and the bedroom door was open. Think twice before renting this apartment if you don’t want to sleep on the street or get robbed.

There’s a supermarket about 5-7 minutes away. The apartment is very big and has a well-equipped kitchen. If you arrive late and the shops are closed, there are different drinks in the fridge. It did get cold during the night.
