Hotel Taurus

For a one-day stay it was pleasant enough. The room had some dust, but was okay for a night’s sleep. Staff were great and breakfast was included. I was on either the 6th or 4th floor, I don’t remember exactly, and the elevator only serves some floors. A staff member kindly carried my bag up. The city center is just three tram stops away, so overall it was fine.

The location is great, in a really nice area with lots of bars and restaurants where you can find local people, just a few minutes from the touristic center. The service was excellent, and the rooms were amazing.

The room had such a strong smell, probably from dampness and mold, that it was hard to breathe in there. It was beyond tolerable for me. The whole hotel was apparently booked up, so they couldn’t move me to another room. Never again, I strongly advise against staying here.

We were grateful that the radiator issue was fixed quickly after we asked. It was full of air and not working at the end of December. The room was spotless, though it was only cleaned once during our three-day stay. We initially had enough towels for three people, but after the cleaning there were only enough for two. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, and public transport nearby, especially the metro, which is two stops from the train station. Our windows faced a street with trams, and we could hear them late at night and early in the morning. Breakfast wasn’t great for us: we arrived late, so the selection was limited and the remaining food was cold. That was our fault for not coming earlier. The shower could use more light for applying makeup, even just one bright lamp. The pillows also badly need replacing. Thank you!!!
