The location is great, and the rooms were tidy and clean, though they felt a bit empty, so bring your own stuff. The wifi was kind of wonky too. You have to turn off security protocols just to get it working.

The cheap price is a plus, and Zizkov is a good neighborhood if you don’t mind walking. If you do, get ready for leg day. The place is a dorm, whatever the websites and ads say. That has its perks: I booked for one person and somehow got three beds. The wifi password wouldn’t connect, but in keeping with the dorm vibe, eduroam is available. There are plenty of breakfast spots nearby, so the lack of a reception area didn’t bother me.

Small personal items disappeared from our room during our four-day trip to Prague: a carton of cigarettes, foreign currency, and a few pieces of costume jewelry. Thankfully, we’d kept our valuables with us. We checked in Friday around 9 pm, left Saturday morning around 8-9 am for sightseeing, and when we returned Saturday night and noticed what was missing, we told reception straight away. At first, they said the manager wasn’t available. After we insisted, someone who identified themselves as a manager came down and said they’d review the security cameras. They checked some of the time frame but wouldn’t tell us what they found. We were asked to wait until Monday for another manager to follow up because of system difficulties. No one contacted us after that, despite our patience and efforts, until we followed up again on booking. It felt like they were deliberately dragging things out, especially since we were due to leave Tuesday morning. They also said only I had access to the room apart from staff with a master key, which raised more questions than answers. I trusted the hotel to investigate and resolve it internally, so I didn’t file a police report right away. Looking back, I regret that. The whole incident affected our stay. I can’t recommend this property given the lack of accountability, safety, and response.

There are loads of restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and the city centre isn’t far away. It’s a great place and location for travellers visiting Prague. When you visit, leave it cleaner and respect the culture. Enjoy.
