The breakfast was fine if you got there early, but by the time we arrived on our first morning, many options had run out. There’s space for skis, but getting to the slopes is inconvenient unless you drive, pay for a taxi, or walk there and arrive tired and sweaty. The road outside also meant we were woken by the snowplow at 5 a.m. each morning. Our room had no Wi-Fi, which isn’t acceptable for a four-star hotel. We booked a superior room for the mountain view, but got a corner room with the road and a mountain visible through one window, and the road and Palace Hotel through the other. A room across the hall would have had an unobstructed mountain view. It was also freezing when we arrived because the radiator was off. After the reception experience, we didn’t feel a complaint would get us anywhere. We’d told the hotel before arrival that it was our honeymoon and that we’d bring my service dog. They accepted the dog, explained a way to make the stay cheaper, and told us we could charge our electric car at their nearby sister hotel. We couldn’t use the cheaper rate because the payment had already gone through. At check-in, the attendant seemed irritated, didn’t greet or welcome us, and just asked our name. There were champagne glasses and drinks in the lobby, but none were offered to us. Later we saw other guests offered drinks by another clerk. When we asked, we were told everyone gets one. We didn’t pursue it. There were good parts to our communication before the stay, but the overall experience was very mixed. We won’t come back and will look for another hotel next year.

The mountain view is spectacular, and you’re only a few meters from the town center. My room was great and breakfast was decent. The hotel itself is quite good. A few staff members were a little rude, but not enough to make me rate it poorly.

The hotel advertises a vegan menu in town and on the building, but that turned out not to be true. I walked 20 minutes uphill through the snow only to find it was a trap. I didn’t stay and left. SCAM!!!

The room service was poor: there were crumbs and dirt left from the day before, and nobody cleaned the mirror during our stay. Some waiters seemed inattentive and as if they didn’t care. The bar wasn’t open when it was supposed to be. On the good side, the location is wonderful, breakfast was pretty good, and the spa is relaxing. A few waiters and the receptionist were really friendly.

We liked the food so much that we returned the next day. The tomato soup and green salad with avocado and black rice were so good. There are healthy choices and vegetarian options, too. The first time, we had fish with mashed potatoes and loved it. The terrace has a beautiful view, service was lovely, and prices were good. Definitely recommend it!
