Our kids still talk about the lovely house high in the mountains, and we hope to come back soon. Last summer we stayed in a beautiful, quiet area, with only a short hike into downtown. They enjoyed watching the surrounding nature in the garden. Our family room was quiet, well prepared, and had everything we needed. The house also has a shared room with games and books where guests can play or chat, which is a real plus for families. The kitchen was clean, organized, and very useful, with everything we needed.

It was a very unpleasant experience, and I never got to stay there. The property canceled our Booking.com reservation the day before we were due to leave. I called the guesthouse to sort out what seemed like a misunderstanding, but the receptionist was rude and arrogant, insisting we hadn't answered emails that we never received.

The house is on Lucni Street in the Svaty Petr district, not at the location shown here. We spent our winter vacation there and were very satisfied. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful, breakfast was served at the table, and we had parking at the house. Our room was clean and cozy, with an old-fashioned charm. The beds were feather beds and we slept really well. It was warm, the water was hot, and there was a small kitchenette for us to use. The toilets and shower were tidy, clean, and modernly furnished. The price was extremely reasonable by comparison. Just keep in mind that in a guesthouse you naturally run into other guests and can hear when a neighbor opens or closes a door. The house was full during our stay, with three four-bed rooms and three two-bed rooms, but everyone was reasonably considerate.

There was decent WiFi throughout the guesthouse, and I liked having a games room with darts and table football. Our room had a well-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, electric stove, microwave, and kettle, plus a separate fridge in the room. The rooms are beautiful and have private bathrooms. My only slight complaint is that the shower felt smaller than I'm used to at home. I definitely recommend it for a holiday in the Svatopetrské Valley.
