Hotel Poprad

You’re right in the city center, close to everything. The staff are kind, and the rooms are clean, well equipped, and everything works. There’s a microwave, stove and other bits in the hallway kitchenette, plus a fridge, kettle and TV in the room. If you’ve lost something or need to borrow an item, the receptionists will help you out.

The staff were nice and helpful, but that was the only good part of my stay. People in the room next door were shouting all night, and they seemed to be Ukrainians who might live there for free. They kept smoking on the balcony, so I couldn’t leave my window open despite the heat. Paying over two thousand for a sleepless night is far too much. I’d avoid the hotel while it’s hosting this Ukrainian scum.

The service was lovely, and breakfast was perfect. We got there early in the evening on our motorbikes and were checked in within minutes. The bikes were safely tucked away in the garage under the castle. The rooms have a retro look, but were clean, so that was no issue. Definitely recommend.

Breakfast was generous and really good, and they can have it ready for a time you choose. We stayed for one night as a stopover; the rooms are clean and the service is easygoing. Don’t expect luxury, the rooms may bring back memories of a school trip, but I’d highly recommend it.
