Aura Špičák

A relaxing place to be when the snow arrives.

Really great.

The room was clean and genuinely warm despite the outdoor temperature being -12⁰C. The owners were friendly, pleasant, and helpful, and I was very satisfied with the stay. The guesthouse is nice and well located, about 1 km from the Špičák ski slope, with an easier slope for children just across the road. I visited in January and would recommend it.

On our second stay in September this year, we came back to find someone had gone through our room and done a little cleaning. Our belongings were there, including sportswear, expensive work tablet, and dirty laundry from day trips all together in one bag. We always locked the door from both sides when we went out. Nobody had told us at check-in that anyone would enter the room. When we left, the owner even shouted at my boyfriend for leaving a mess. He asked whether it was acceptable to come into rooms without telling guests first, and was told the room had to be clean for the next visit. Apparently they don't clean after guests leave, they just change the sheets and bathroom towels. That doesn't sit right with me. I work at a place with accommodation and a restaurant in Bohemian Paradise, and can't imagine treating a customer this way. If we'd known from the start that they would check the room daily, we could have put away our unpacked things. My boyfriend handled the checkout, as he's more easygoing than I am. I was lucky I wasn't there, because I wouldn't have let the owner yell at me. We first came here a year ago on the recommendation of local friends in Špičák. We only need a clean bed and bathroom, since we spend our time hiking, not in the room. That first stay went smoothly, and we left happy after a few days. This time was completely different. We won't stay here again.
