A lovely apartment for a short visit to Aachen, close to the old town and easy to reach by public transport. It had everything I needed: a clean, comfortable room, a good bathroom with a great shower, a fridge, and a coffee machine. The bed was fine, too. One little oddity is that the door closes by itself, but rather slowly. Highly recommend.

Check-in and checkout were easy, and there’s a lift, which is handy for elderly and disabled visitors. The rooms were warm and very clean. The location is excellent, with great restaurants on the surrounding streets and Grand Place and the metro station very close by.

I felt right at home at Hotel POHA House Büchel. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. It’s a lovely place in a great location, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I’ll be back!

The location is good, but please think carefully before booking. I checked in on Saturday. There was no reception desk, and the access details for the building and room arrived by email at check-in time. I entered with the code, but the room hadn’t been cleaned. We tried WhatsApp, phone, and email for help, with no reply. They can only assist Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. We eventually found a cleaning lady in the building ourselves, asked her to clean the room, and waited an hour. If something goes wrong or you need help outside office hours, nobody can assist.

I’d give the location four stars and the room two, but the service was so shocking that I can only give one overall. If there’s a problem, be prepared to wait 24 hours for a reply. Cooking wasn’t pleasant because tenants left things uncleaned and the hallways smelled of fish. The washing machine room is next to someone’s room, and someone would open the door and stop the cycle even though you have to pay to use the machines. The photo posted shows the culprit. Avoid it. There are better places for less. EDIT: I have proof the washing wasn’t being done after 10pm and the door was closed. You took months to reply and never gave me updates, so I had to post the review late. You chose to believe the person who started the argument and handled the dispute between residents very badly. EDIT 2: It wasn’t resolved. After turning off my washing machine at 7:30pm, the guest living there stalked me. I have evidence. You did nothing, even though I asked for a partial refund to cover the machine and asked if I could go somewhere else. The request was rejected, and nobody ever stepped in to help.
